We, the students and performers of the Gaayaki-ang genre of playing violin in north Indian classical music, salute our teacher and mentor, Padmabhushan Dr. N. Rajam and congratulate her for being awarded the prestigeous Kalidas Samman for this year and simultaneously being given the Chowdiah memorial award by the Karnataka state governement. I provided my Solo and orchestral Violin support to the soundtracks of the movie titled The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel -- RELEASE DATE 9th MARCH, 2012, for ace composer Tom Newman and Director John Madden (Shakespeare in Love fame). The film is a crossover India-England-Hollywood feature and is a fabulously done story. Dev Patel, Tena Desae, Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Rajendra Gupta star in it. Other noteworthy Musicians on this project along with me were Pedro Eushtache, John Beasley, Steve Taviglione and others.

This film is likely to be released theatrically around Spring of 2012. Watch out for this one!

The Spundana entertainment group has a specific motto -- research and application/implementation of the healing powers/effects of micro-tonal music. The main areas of focus would be working with/researching the healing effects of micro-tonal music on Human DNA and consciousness.
